This $5,000 scholarship is for a female refugee who has future leadership goals. It supports their education and training through academic or vocational post-secondary education.
This scholarship was in recognition of the outstanding leadership of Mr. Naizghi, Executive Director of MOSAIC from 2001-2018.

Candidates must be nominated by a staff member of a community organization. The recipient is chosen based on the following:
Aida is a student at the University of British Columbia. It has been three years since she immigrated to Canada. She is especially interested in exploring how immigration and the refugee experience impact the lives of refugee children, both emotionally and socially. Through her studies and community involvement, Aida contributes to meaningful change in the lives of newcomers.
